About The Position
Wipro Limited is seeking a Data Center Engineer with extensive layer 1 knowledge and hardware/cable troubleshooting abilities. This role requires experience with racking, stacking, and cabling various data center assets, as well as the ability to understand and implement requests from Sysadmins and Network Engineers. Due to a significant replacement of data center assets, additional resources are needed to assist with the installation, decommissioning, and troubleshooting of all types of network and compute appliances in the enterprise data center.
Requirements
- Extensive layer 1 knowledge
- Hardware/cable troubleshooting abilities
- Experience with racking/stacking/cabling all types of data center assets
- Ability to understand and implement requests from Sysadmins and Network Engineers
- Experience with installation, decommission, and troubleshooting of network and compute appliances
- Data center automation
Responsibilities
- Complete all Change tickets on time to meet project demands.
- Ensure zero human errors caused from working in the data center.
- Meet SLAs for responding to Break/Fix and Incident tickets.
