About The Position
The Data Center Engineer will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the deployment, maintenance, and management of data center infrastructure. This includes hands-on work with servers and network equipment, troubleshooting hardware issues, managing inventory, developing operational procedures, and supporting power and cooling systems. The role also involves ticket management, change requests, and the development of automation solutions.
Requirements
- Experience with server and network equipment deployment, installation, and decommissioning
- Proficiency in rack and stack activities
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and infrastructure issues
- Experience with asset inventory and documentation management
- Skill in developing and updating SOPs, MOPs, and operational procedures
- Knowledge of data center power and cooling infrastructure
- Experience with break/fix remediation
- Familiarity with ticket and change request management
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python or Bash
