This is a Contract position based out of Round Rock, TX. The role involves providing on-site technical support for AI Server systems, ensuring rapid recovery and minimal downtime. The engineer will design and implement standard procedures, perform corrective maintenance, and diagnose complex system malfunctions. Proactive and reactive maintenance, including hardware Field Change Orders (FCOs), will be conducted per established procedures. Safety, quality, and documentation guidelines will be enforced during interventions. Initial system health checks and environmental audits will be performed to ensure compliance with operational standards. The role also involves collaborating with logistics teams for expedited part delivery and managing inventory. Strategic collaboration with various customer-facing and technical teams is expected to develop and implement recovery protocols. Root cause analysis, communication with customers and internal teams, and identifying recurring issues for process enhancements or automation are key aspects. On-call rotations or extended hours support may be required. The engineer will also contribute to validating firmware updates and authoring technical documentation. Training and knowledge sharing with team members, mentoring junior engineers, and committing to ongoing professional development are important. Administrative duties include managing spare parts, tools, and test equipment, ensuring accurate updates of service records, expense reports, and timecards, and prompt parts returns. Following escalation procedures and performing additional duties as assigned by the supervisor are also part of the role. Rigorous audits of inventory levels will be conducted monthly, and weekly operational summaries will be presented to leadership.
