About The Position
As a Data Business Systems Analyst (Healthcare Payer Data), you will bridge business and technical teams, helping translate business requirements into enterprise data solutions. The role focuses on healthcare payer data, analytics, reporting, cloud data platforms, and data governance.
Requirements
- 8+ years as a Business Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, or Data BSA.
- 5+ years supporting enterprise data initiatives.
- Healthcare payer industry experience.
- Strong requirements gathering and documentation experience.
- Strong SQL.
- Source-to-target mapping.
- Data profiling and data quality analysis.
- Knowledge of Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, Data Governance, Metadata Management, Data Lineage, and Dimensional Modeling.
- Cloud Experience.

Responsibilities
- Gather and document business and data requirements.
- Create BRDs, FRDs, User Stories, Process Flows, Data Mapping Documents, and Source-to-Target Mappings.
- Conduct stakeholder workshops.
- Support Agile ceremonies and backlog management.
- Analyze large healthcare datasets.
- Define data domains, business rules, data transformations, and data quality standards.
- Perform gap analysis and source-to-target mapping.
- Support data governance and master data management.
- Support cloud-based data initiatives and modernization efforts.
- Work with Snowflake, Azure Data Platform, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, AWS Data Services, Google Cloud Data Services.
- Support data warehouse and cloud migration projects.
- Partner with Product Owners and business teams.
- Define data products, dashboards, KPIs, and reporting solutions.
- Help create product roadmaps, business cases, product backlogs, and adoption metrics.
- Define data quality rules.
- Support data lineage, metadata management, business glossaries, and data governance initiatives.
- Work with healthcare payer functions including Claims, Enrollment & Membership, Provider Management, Care Management, Utilization Management, Risk Adjustment, HEDIS/STARS, and Customer Experience.
- Supports Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, and Marketplace plans.
