About The Position

As a Business System Analyst, you'll document requirements, system flows, and business impacts. This role requires strong US Healthcare Payer domain expertise, advanced SQL skills, and experience with data warehouse, data management, and migration projects. The analyst will work closely with DBAs and database developers, create BRDs, FRDs, UML diagrams, and process flows, and effectively work within defined project scope. The position requires deep knowledge of the domain and basic knowledge of related areas, strong facilitation skills for requirement-gathering sessions, and the ability to guide/mentor junior team members and review requirements.

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience
  • Strong US Healthcare Payer domain expertise
  • Advanced SQL skills (complex queries, joins, reporting)
  • Experience with data warehouse, data management, and migration projects
  • Ability to work closely with DBAs and database developers
  • Hands-on experience creating BRDs, FRDs, UML diagrams, and process flows
  • Works effectively within defined project scope
  • Deep knowledge of own domain and basic knowledge of related areas
  • Strong facilitation skills for requirement-gathering sessions
  • Ability to guide/mentor junior team members and review requirements

Responsibilities

  • Gather business requirements in collaboration with business teams, IT, and vendors.
  • Document requirements, system flows, and business impacts.
  • Create new process flows and integration details; track requirement progress.
  • Identify gaps, risks, and issues.
  • Advise stakeholders on reporting and data needs.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for business system requirements.
  • Ensure technical details are accurate and well-documented.
  • Build data flow diagrams, process maps, and transformation flows (current & future state).
  • Maintain project artifacts with proper version control.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate with teams.
  • Support system testing and ensure traceability.
  • Provide weekend/after-hours support when needed.
