About The Position

SGS is seeking a Data Architect to lead the design and delivery of scalable, end-to-end data architectures across the company. As part of the Global Data Team, this role defines data standards, governance, and enterprise models, translating business needs into robust cloud-based solutions. The position combines strategic architecture ownership with hands-on delivery, including batch and real-time data solutions, collaboration with global stakeholders, adoption of modern data platforms, and innovation through proofs of concept and emerging technologies.

Requirements

Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Proven experience delivering solution and reference architectures.
Strong track record in end-to-end data solution delivery.
User-focused mindset.
Ability to travel if needed.
Strong communication skills with senior stakeholders.
Fluent in English.
At least 6 years of experience in Azure-based cloud or hybrid data and machine-learning solutions.
Strong dimensional data-modelling expertise.
Experience with Snowflake, DBT, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Power BI.
Knowledge of SQL and Python.
Experience with CI/CD using Azure DevOps or GitHub.
Proven leadership and team coordination skills.
Ability to manage internal and external delivery teams.
Strong documentation and communication skills.

Microsoft Fabric experience.
C# knowledge.

Responsibilities

Define and implement data architecture, governance, standards, and best practices.
Assess and estimate data solutions for business needs.
Lead solution design in data projects as Data Architect.
Contribute hands-on when required.
Ensure alignment with global architecture frameworks across teams.
Act as the main point of contact for cloud partners and internal stakeholders.
Develop proofs of concept to validate emerging technologies.
Stay current with data trends and pursue continuous learning.
Coordinate internal and external delivery teams.
