About The Position

THOR Solutions, LLC is hiring an Azure Solutions Architect to support and enhance its enterprise environment as customer requirements grow. The role focuses on designing and implementing cloud architectures that integrate multiple VPC and B2B requirements, with an emphasis on Microsoft Government Community Cloud High (GCCH) and applicable federal cybersecurity requirements and contractual obligations.

The position supports the THOR enterprise through system administration and maintenance, architecture for test and production environments, troubleshooting end-user access issues, and development of IT policies. The role is hybrid, with the San Diego, California office preferred; hybrid work from the Shirlington, Virginia, or Virginia Beach, Virginia, offices may also be considered. Travel of up to 25% to THOR office locations in Virginia, Washington, D.C., California, Rhode Island, and Florida is anticipated. A Secret clearance is required after hire; candidates must be U.S. citizens and eligible to obtain one.

The position is primarily desk and computer work in an office environment. It may involve repetitive motion and physical tasks such as moving computer and server hardware, setting up workstations, laying network cable, and supporting other IT infrastructure activities. The anticipated pay range is $85,000–$105,000, with actual compensation based on individual factors including education, qualifications, and experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Three to seven years of proven experience in Azure solutions architecture for a hybrid cloud solution.
• Current, active CompTIA Security+ CE certification, or an accepted higher-level certification such as SC-100, CEH, or CISSP.
• Current, active AZ-900 Azure Fundamentals, AZ-104 Azure Administrator Associate, or comparable Azure certification.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft architecture, including Microsoft Sentinel and other platforms integrated with Azure.
• Demonstrated experience working in a Government Community Cloud High (GCCH) environment.
• Knowledge of configuration management processes and policy writing.
• Demonstrated experience with PowerShell, CLI, and/or Ansible.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Motivation to continue growing in the position.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a Secret security clearance after hire.
• Ability to travel up to 25% to THOR office locations.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology field from an accredited university or college.
• Information Systems Technician (IT) or equivalent military occupational specialty (MOS) from prior U.S. military service.
• AZ-305 Azure Solutions Architect, SC-100 Cybersecurity Architect, or comparable certification.

Responsibilities
