About The Position

The Data Analyst Co-Op assists with organizing and preparing data from manufacturing and global service partners and front-end ordering systems. The role develops automated routines for data collection, preprocessing, and integrity checks, and collaborates with research and data science teams on exploratory data analytics to identify trends and data features. The co-op contributes to planning new features and functionality, supports multidisciplinary agile teams working to develop and improve AI models, creates reports and metrics to drive efficiency initiatives, and documents and presents progress and results to stakeholders and other teams. Other project activities may be assigned.

The position is part of Emerson’s structured co-op program and offers hands-on experience, professional development, and networking opportunities. The ideal candidate is inquisitive, prioritizes learning, stays focused on goals, and works collaboratively.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related engineering or science field.
• Experience with SQL and Python.

Nice To Haves

• Junior or senior class standing.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
• C#, C++, Java, or other object-oriented programming skills.
• Experience in data collection, preprocessing, and relational database models.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with data visualization, management, and storage tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing data architecture and organizing data from manufacturing and global service partners, as well as front-end ordering systems.
• Develop and implement automated routines for data collection, preprocessing, and integrity checks in preparation for analysis.
• Collaborate with research and data science teams to perform exploratory data analytics and identify trends and data features.
• Contribute to planning and road mapping new features and functionality.
• Support multidisciplinary agile teams in developing and improving AI models.
• Create reports and metrics to drive more efficient initiatives.
• Document and present progress and results to stakeholders and other teams.
• Assist with other project activities as assigned.
