About The Position
Language Trainers is an international language training company working with freelance teachers of 99+ languages in hundreds of cities worldwide. Founded in 2004, our motto is Any Language, Anytime, Anywhere. We provide customized language training to professionals and private students for work, family, and travel purposes. We are currently looking for a Danish Teacher for one of our clients in Online (CAN), Canada. The course is a Business course, one-to-one format, with a total of 480 hours and session lengths of three hours. The student is a beginner, and the schedule is 5 times per week, in the afternoon from 12:30pm-3:30pm, Ottawa, Canada time. The learner is a GAC Foreign Service officer who will be posted to Denmark after her language training concludes. She is expected to achieve a proficiency level 2 of the ILR scale (equivalent to ACTFL Advanced Low to Advanced Mid range).
Requirements
- Be a native Danish speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification
- Have experience as a language teacher, translator or interpreter
- Have a valid work permit/visa
- Live within 30 km of the specified location
- Meet the stated conditions for application
Responsibilities
- Provide customized language training to professionals and private students.
- Teach Danish to a beginner level student.
- Prepare the student to achieve a proficiency level 2 of the ILR scale (equivalent to ACTFL Advanced Low to Advanced Mid range).
