About The Position

Language Trainers is an international language training company working with freelance teachers of 99+ languages in hundreds of cities worldwide. Founded in 2004, our motto is Any Language, Anytime, Anywhere. We provide customized language training to professionals and private students for work, family, and travel purposes. We are currently looking for a Japanese Teacher for one of our clients in Online (US), United States. The course type is General, with a one-to-one format, totaling 33 hours with one-hour sessions. The student is at a Lower Intermediate level, aged 35-44, and motivated by travel. Lessons are scheduled twice a week: Monday 7:00-8:30 PM and Friday 5:00-6:30 PM (New York time). The position starts ASAP.

Requirements

• Native Japanese speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification
• Experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter
• Comfortable with teaching online
• Must have a webcam
• Must have own computer at home and a fast broadband connection
• Provide CV with references (if available)
• Provide availability
• Provide earliest possible start date

Responsibilities

• Teach Japanese to a Lower Intermediate level student.
• Conduct one-to-one online lessons.
• Adapt teaching to student's motivation for travel.
