About The Position
Clayton Valley Dance Academy in Concord, CA is looking for a passionate and talented Dance Teacher to inspire students of all ages and skill levels. If you love sharing your love of dance and making a lasting impact on young performers, we want to hear from you! We are currently looking to hire a teacher for our Monday classes including Hip Hop, Tumbling and Adult Hip Hop. Classes run 3:30pm - 8:30pm weekly. There are additional classes available to teach on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday that include Jazz, Ballet and Tap. Clayton Valley Dance Academy is a beloved dance studio serving the Concord, CA community with high-quality instruction and a nurturing environment for dancers of all ages. Our students and families keep coming back year after year because of our dedicated instructors and the joy we bring to every class. Requirements
- Prior experience teaching dance in a studio, school, or recreational setting
- Proficiency in one or more dance styles (ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, lyrical, etc.)
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills
- Ability to work with children and teens of all experience levels
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Passion for dance education and student development
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging dance instruction across styles such as ballet, jazz, hip-hop, or contemporary
- Teach students of varying ages and skill levels in a positive, structured class environment
- Develop age-appropriate choreography for recitals, showcases, and performances
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support growth
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom atmosphere
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and studio staff
- Assist with studio events, recitals, and special performances as needed
