About The Position

The Dance Teacher will teach beginner and intermediate dance classes at The Dance Factory in Delavan, Wisconsin. The role focuses on delivering engaging, in-person instruction in a supportive, safe classroom and helping students develop dance technique and important life skills. The instructor will work with children ages 2–15 in ballet, tap, jazz, acro, and lyrical. The regular season runs from August through May. Scheduled teaching hours are Tuesdays from 4:00–9:00, Wednesdays from 4:00–7:45, and Saturdays from 9:00–12:00. The Dance Factory & Music Studios teaches dance and music through instructors’ industry knowledge and a genuine love of the arts, supporting creativity and individual self-esteem. It welcomes students ranging from recreational participants to serious performers. The studio is part of Ensemble Schools, a collaborative network of community-driven music and dance schools that shares resources while preserving each school’s identity. Ensemble Schools’ stated mission is to empower artists by safeguarding the businesses that support them, with a focus on stewardship, growth, and supporting teachers and students.

Requirements

Strong dance background in various dance styles.
Ability to work with children ages 2–15 in ballet, tap, jazz, acro, and lyrical.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Energetic, enthusiastic, and dedicated to teaching dance.
Provide reliable transportation.
Pass a routine background check.
Demonstrate dependability, professionalism, enthusiasm, punctuality, and friendliness.

Nice To Haves

Post-secondary dance training, such as a certificate or degree in dance performance, education, or a related field; this is not mandatory.
Acrobatic Arts training.
