This role focuses on analyzing equipment damage incidents, developing prevention strategies, and managing claims processes to minimize operational costs and improve fleet safety. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills with industry knowledge to drive continuous improvement in our damage mitigation programs.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Supply Chain, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or insurance industries is an asset.
Strong analytical skills is preferred.
Experience with claims management systems and processes.
Knowledge of commercial vehicle operations and equipment types.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

Nice To Haves

Experience in trucking, freight, or transportation industry.
Professional certifications in risk management or claims analysis.
Familiarity with DOT regulations and commercial vehicle safety standards.
Background in fleet management or equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough investigations of equipment damage incidents including tractors, trailers, and cargo handling equipment.
Analyze damage patterns and root causes.
Prepare detailed damage reports with photographic documentation and cost assessments.
Collaborate with maintenance teams, drivers, and operations staff to gather comprehensive incident information.
Review and process damage claims from initial report through resolution.
Coordinate with insurance carriers, repair vendors, and legal teams on complex claims.
Maintain accurate claims databases and tracking systems.
Negotiate settlements and manage vendor relationships for cost-effective repairs.
Identify high-risk routes, facilities, and operational scenarios through trend analysis.
Create and implement driver training programs focused on damage prevention.
Work with safety teams to establish best practices and standard operating procedures.
Generate monthly and quarterly damage analysis reports for senior management.
Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed prevention initiatives.
Present findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams.
