About The Position
A Dairy/Frozen Clerk provides customer satisfaction by making customers feel welcome and offering prompt, courteous assistance in a grocery store environment. The role includes safely and efficiently unloading and storing merchandise and supplies, using lifting and carrying techniques or operating forklifts or pallet jacks. The clerk opens merchandise cases with case cutters, may price products using price labelers, stocks the display area, checks product dates, and rotates merchandise. The role also involves cleaning, sweeping, mopping, operating the baler, and disposing of trash. Other duties may be assigned. Town & Country Foods is 100% employee owned, with 8 locations across Montana and over 500 employees. The company offers on-the-job paid training, and no experience is necessary. Employees share knowledge and support each other’s growth. Scheduling is flexible for people continuing their education, families, or multiple careers.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and provide prompt, courteous assistance.
- Safely and efficiently unload and store merchandise and supplies.
- Lift and carry merchandise or operate forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Open merchandise cases using case cutters.
- Price merchandise using price labelers when needed.
- Keep merchandise displays properly stocked.
- Check product dates and rotate merchandise.
- Clean, sweep, and mop.
- Operate the baler and dispose of trash.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
