About The Position

The Dairy Associate ensures the quality, freshness, and assortment of products in the dairy department. The role includes receiving, storing, stocking, and rotating dairy products; taking special orders; assisting with ordering and inventory; maintaining accurate pricing and signage; and providing excellent customer service. The associate also helps keep the department clean and sanitized, completes assigned tasks promptly, and supports the success of the store as a whole. The work is generally performed in a store environment that may involve frequent exposure to cold, slippery, and wet conditions. The role requires daily interaction with store associates, customers, and vendors, and availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred; alternatively, a combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

Follow established departmental and store policies and procedures.
Ensure the quality and freshness of dairy department products and services.
Maintain the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels.
Confirm pricing accuracy and signage, with particular attention to advertised items.
Clean and sanitize the dairy department daily and maintain company appearance standards.
Provide excellent customer service.
Receive, store, stock, and rotate dairy products, including milk, eggs, juice, yogurt, and butter.
Remove out-of-date products from dairy shelves.
Assist the Dairy Manager with ordering products based on past and projected sales.
Complete assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner.
Set a professional and positive example for others.
Assist as needed to support the success of the store.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
