About The Position

The Senior BI Developer contributes to Groupe Touchette's growth by designing and developing business intelligence solutions that support business objectives. Acting as a subject matter expert in data, the incumbent is responsible for designing, extracting, transforming, and consolidating data to support analytics, data governance, and business decision-making. Leveraging expertise in Microsoft BI technologies and strong communication skills, this role partners with business and technical teams to deliver scalable and high-performing BI solutions.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of experience in Business Intelligence, BI development, or data management.
• University or college degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong expertise with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and Visual Studio.
• Experience developing dashboards using Power BI.
• Strong analytical and data modeling skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
• Bilingualism required: Proficiency in English is necessary due to frequent interactions with predominantly English-speaking pan-Canadian partners. This language is frequently used in both written and verbal communications. An advanced level is required.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of SAP HANA, CDS Views, and Business Objects is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Participate in business projects and initiatives by translating business requirements into technical specifications.
• Partner with business analysts to develop datasets that support reporting and analytics.
• Participate in the design, analysis, profiling, and modeling of the enterprise Data Mart.
• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize ETL processes.
• Develop and maintain SSRS reports, SSAS cubes, and Power BI dashboards.
• Monitor, optimize, and maintain the stability of the BI environment to support enterprise data governance initiatives.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of business intelligence solutions and data management processes.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
