About The Position

The 4th Judicial District Colorado Youth Detention Continuum (CYDC) is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to take on the CYDC Coordinator role. As a CYDC Coordinator, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks revolving around supporting Pre-Trial youth. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact and contribute to the success of youth in the community and the juvenile justice system. In this position, you will have opportunities to collaborate, consult and problem solve with essential stake holders and representatives across the Juvenile Justice System spectrum, including Colorado Division of Youth Services (DYS), Colorado Youth Detention Continuum (CYDC), Collaborative Management Program (CMP) and many others to aid in connecting youth and their families to resources and services. As a CYDC Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring youth have as many opportunities in your district as possible to succeed. You will be responsible for reporting data and creating presentations that effectively communicate the successes and challenges of the program to the state, as well as developing program resources and providing feedback to the Juvenile Services Planning Committee (JSPC) in your district. Requirements

  • 21 years of age
  • Home/Personal phone

  • No criminal record
  • Bachelor’s degree with preference to juvenile/criminal justice, law or social work background

Responsibilities

  • Youth Supervision - Position will be working with youth and families in Pre-adjudicated programs.
  • Program Management - Position will be in charge of coming up with new programs, ideas and data-collection to help direct the program towards greater success.
  • Program Development/Training/Evaluation - Position will be in charge of finding contracting opportunities and working with already established contracts to help facilitate youth success.
  • Detention Management - Will work in concert with contract providers to manage detention beds with the state, so as to make sure youth are able to be expeditiously placed and removed from detention.
  • Court Hearing Coordination - Position will coordinate the scheduling of court detention hearings for youth who are detained within the 4th Judicial District.
  • Data Management - Position will track data in three different state data systems.
  • CYDC Plan - Position will work to develop an annual plan and present it to the state advisory board for approval.
  • JSPC Meetings - Position is in charge of planning and running meetings with the governing board of the CYDC.
  • Fiscal Management - Position will be in charge of managing the budget of the district alongside the fiscal agent.
  • Collaboration/Partnerships - Position will work in concert with a number of other state programs to facilitate youth rehabilitation through a coordinated effort.
