About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Cycle Counter Forklift Operator in Charlotte, North Carolina, to handle commercial HVAC parts in a warehouse fulfillment operation. The role works the weekend night shift from Saturday through Monday, 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM. Pay is $23.34 per hour, with a $1.00-per-hour weekend night shift premium and overtime pay of $35.01 per hour. Warehouse positions are paid weekly.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of related warehouse and powered industrial lift experience.
• Ability to read, perform basic mathematics, and understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for safety, work instructions, and policies.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to input data into a computer system.
• Work overtime as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and apply Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions.
• Recognize and correct potential process errors before they adversely affect the customer.
• Identify damaged product at any point in the warehousing process and take appropriate action.
• Pull orders accurately as assigned.
• Stage orders according to carrier location and verify the number of pallets picked and the stage location.
• Prepare receiving, storage, and shipping documentation while retaining product accountability throughout the logistical process.
• Follow location and work center safety and security policies and procedures.
• Train others in various warehouse functions when required, including safe operation of powered industrial lift equipment.
• Perform housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned.
• Operate forklift equipment or other warehouse machinery.
