About The Position

The Cycle Counter is responsible for conducting daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts of various inventory types within the warehouse. This role involves verifying inventory quantities and locations in the WMS and ERP systems, investigating and resolving discrepancies, and analyzing inventory variances. The Cycle Counter will also maintain accurate inventory records, assist with physical inventories and audits, and identify process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy. Ensuring proper product labeling and storage, adhering to safety and quality standards, and supporting general warehouse operations are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 1 year of inventory control, cycle counting, warehouse, or related experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and analyze inventory data.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment safely.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.
  • Manufacturing or distribution environment experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts of raw materials, finished goods, and packaging materials.
  • Verify inventory quantities and locations within the warehouse management system (WMS) and ERP systems.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by researching transactions, movements, and documentation.
  • Analyze inventory variances and communicate findings to management.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform data entry related to inventory adjustments.
  • Work collaboratively with warehouse personnel to ensure proper inventory handling and storage practices.
  • Assist with physical inventories and year-end inventory audits.
  • Monitor inventory transactions to identify process improvements that enhance inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure products are properly labeled and stored in designated warehouse locations.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Support warehouse operations as needed, including material handling and inventory-related projects.
