About the position
The Cyber Security Compliance Manager at ThreatLocker is responsible for overseeing cybersecurity compliance within an organization, ensuring compliance with laws, regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures. This role involves developing compliance organizational strategies, designing and monitoring control systems, collaborating with leadership to develop corporate governance, and minimizing legal risks. The ideal candidate should have at least six years of experience in a corporate compliance role or business and technology analyst, a bachelor's degree in MIS or CS, and excellent communication and negotiation skills. The job is generally performed in an office environment but may require occasional travel.
Responsibilities
- Develop compliance organizational strategies by contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction, establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.
- Design and monitor control systems to deal with violations of legal rules and internal policies.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop corporate governance.
- Align corporate objectives and documentation with cyber compliance frameworks, including SOC2 TypeII, FedRamp, NIST 800-171, and other frameworks.
- Minimize legal risks by understanding current and proposed legislation, enforcing regulations, recommending new procedures, and complying with legal requirements.
- Regularly assess the efficiency of control systems and recommend effective improvements.
- Assist with building product specifications, liaising with clientele and support in other IT functions.
- Perform periodic audits on company procedures and processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least six years of experience in corporate compliance role or business and technology analyst
- Bachelor's degree in MIS or CS, preferred
- Detailed oriented with acute business acumen partnered with dedication to legality
- Proven and effective negotiation skills, time management skills, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
- Customer service driven and attention to detail is a must
- Flexibility to adjust and thrive in an environment with changing requirements, schedules and priorities
- Able to communicate clearly and concisely with a range of associates as well as senior executives
- Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups
- Excellent communication, writing, meeting facilitation skills
