About The Position

The Cutting Machine Operator I plays a vital role in bringing our products to life. In this hands-on position, you’ll work alongside experienced cutters to prepare and layout fabrics, accurately label and scan cut materials, and help ensure production runs smoothly and efficiently. This role is more than just support — it’s a development opportunity. You’ll receive on-the-job training to learn the cutting table machine and build the skills needed to advance into a Cutting Machine Operator II position. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic math skills and understanding of two-dimensional space required
  • Good hand-eye coordination and detail-oriented
  • Good attendance and demonstrated work ethic required

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and stages fabrics according to daily production schedules, ensuring materials are accurate and ready for cutting.
  • Sets up fabric on the cutting table to support efficient and precise production flow.
  • Labels all cut materials accurately and scans completed work into the system to maintain inventory accuracy and job tracking.
  • Verifies that each job is completed correctly, confirming quantities, specifications, and labeling meet quality standards.
  • Monitors workflow and proactively communicates production issues, material discrepancies, or delays to Cutting Machine Operators and the supervisor.
  • Maintains an organized, clean, and safe work area around the cutting table and production zone.
  • Learns and develops proficiency in operating the cutting table machine in preparation for promotion to Cutting Machine Operator II.
  • Contributes to department efficiency by supporting production goals and maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and safety.
