About The Position

The Bernard Group is a 100% employee-owned visual merchandising company leading the retail industry in design and production. They are looking for Machine Operators to join their Cutting Department. The role involves operating a Zund digital die cutting machine to cut printed materials into various shapes and sizes according to exact specifications, ensuring timely and high-quality output. This position is part of a production group that collaborates to deliver world-class products. The company emphasizes its values, sustainable materials, and community involvement. Shifts available are Wednesday through Friday, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, with a rotating schedule every 4 months. This is a full-time position in Chanhassen, MN.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
Pay close attention to details on every project
Basic computer skills, including ePace and Google
Self-motivated, a fast learner, and show initiative to seek out customer and corporate needs
Ability to plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage your own work
Ability to work independently, make decisions and solve moderate level problems independently, effectively and creatively
Complete projects accurately within deadlines, while meeting Company quality standards
Apply effective time management and self-management skills
Understand and maintain the confidential nature of the company, employee and customer information
Able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
Strong interpersonal skills including, demonstrated listening skills and the ability to present ideas and thoughts concisely and effectively both internally and outside the organization

Previous work experience in printing, print operations, cutting, or machine operations

Responsibilities

Operate Zund cutting machines to form printed materials to customer specifications.
Perform Quality Control (QC) procedures to meet Company standards.
Perform maintenance of Zund machinery and equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning of machines at the beginning of each shift.
