About The Position

Mallory Alexander International Logistics is seeking a detail-oriented Customs Brokerage Entry Writer to prepare, compile, and manage documents and records needed to clear goods through U.S. Customs. The role supports smooth operations by ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely customs processing, shipment coordination, and cargo flow. The position pays $31.25–$36.00, based on experience, and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

3–5 years of related experience and knowledge of U.S. Customs and Harmonized Tariff Codes.
Hands-on experience with CargoWise One.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and documentation.
Strong time-management and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or a similar field is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Prepare customs entries for all shipments for timely submission to U.S. Customs.
Review documents for accuracy and compliance with customs regulations.
Identify products subject to OGA requirements.
Determine Harmonized Schedule tariffs and enter OGA/PGA data.
Communicate with customers regarding CBP and OGA delivery matters and irregularities.
Manage daily tracking reports for open shipments.
Track and trace shipments and coordinate with steamship lines, freight forwarders, and CFS regarding imported shipment availability.
Arrange pickup and delivery with trucking companies.
Handle accounting processes, including issuing invoices and approving freight bills.
Collaborate with internal departments to maintain efficient cargo flow, minimize delays, and support on-time clearance.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
