About The Position

The Customs Brokerage Agent supports smooth and timely customs processing by entering and tracking customs information, supporting customs declaration preparation and submission, ensuring accurate client billing, and complying with applicable regulations. The role requires understanding customs procedures and import and export documentation, along with accurately following customer instructions and expectations.

Requirements

• Good knowledge of customs brokerage processes and customs legislation, especially classification, valuation, and origin.
• Understanding of ocean, road, and air documentation processes.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Proactive approach and strong organizational skills.
• Good computer skills, including MS Excel and MS Word.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely customs process flow.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the operational system.
• Track and trace customs files and provide reporting.
• Ensure accurate and timely client billing.
• Understand and correctly interpret import and export customs Desk Level Operating Procedures to fulfill customer instructions and expectations.
• Transfer customs declaration information from documents or other sources into the customs entry system to support the creation of a valid customs declaration.
• Assist with verification of customs declaration information and its submission to the customs authority.
• Ensure compliance with regulations at all times.
