About The Position

Central Carolina Community College (CCCC) is seeking a Customized Training Program Project Coordinator to serve as the primary liaison between the college and regional corporate partners. This role involves planning, executing, and evaluating project-based training activities in compliance with North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS) Customized Training Program (CTP) guidelines. The Coordinator will manage project budgets, instructional resources, and administrative operations, ensuring seamless communication and fostering an inclusive learning environment. The position requires regular travel within the college's service area and occasional travel outside of it, with the ability to navigate various industrial and manufacturing environments and lift up to 50 pounds. Willingness to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is also necessary.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Engineering Technology, Project Management, or a related field. (Equivalent combinations of education, specialized training, and relevant industry experience may be considered.)
  • Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in training and development, project management, or business planning.
  • Demonstrated track record of managing administrative systems and supporting day-to-day organizational operations.
  • Proven ability to work productively with diverse stakeholders, including corporate clients, instructors, and cross-functional college departments, fostering an inclusive environment.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and digital communication skills, with demonstrated confidence in delivering engaging presentations during meetings and client briefings.
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities, including the ability to plan, prioritize, execute, and monitor complex training programs simultaneously.
  • High level of competence in standard productivity tools: Microsoft Office Suite: Advanced skill in Word, Excel (Expert), and PowerPoint.
  • Google Workspace: Proficient in Gmail, Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet, Calendar, and Forms.
  • Knowledge of higher education Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms, specifically Slate, for tracking client interactions, project data, and communications.
  • Familiarity with Banner and NCCCS Customized Training Programs (CTP) for tracking projects, budget management, reporting, and instructor workflows.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain expert knowledge of NCCCS Customized Training Program guidelines, ensuring all project activities, budgets, and reporting remain fully compliant.
  • Lead end-to-end planning, scheduling, and execution of company-specific training initiatives in alignment with client agreements.
  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments with client leadership to identify skill gaps and design future workforce training programs.
  • Monitor and manage individual project budgets, material requisitions, and vendor/partner connections.
  • Track continuous improvement opportunities to enhance program delivery, strengthen cross-departmental collaboration, and support college performance metrics.
  • Recruit, vet, and onboard qualified industry instructors for training sessions; identify and pursue instructor certification opportunities to expand the Industry Services course catalog.
  • Issue instructor contracts and process purchase requisitions for all scheduled classes.
  • Administer end-of-course evaluations, analyze performance data to identify instructional strengths and growth areas, and report findings to trainers and executive leadership.
  • Maintain comprehensive electronic project records, ensuring class registrations, instructor contracts, and evaluation data are properly archived across the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and submit regular progress, compliance, and outcome reports to the Executive Director, VP of WCE and the NCCCS state office.
  • Serve as the central point of contact between client companies, instructors, college departments, and executive leadership to ensure seamless communication.
  • Represent Industry Services at campus and community events (e.g., National Manufacturing Day, facility tours, and outreach functions).
  • Active participation in client planning sessions, departmental meetings, and assigned college committees.
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment that values diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences across students, staff, and industry partners.
  • Complete required annual staff development hours (minimum 5 hours) and actively support overall college policies, mission, and strategic goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
