Dealership and Customer Vehicle Transportation - Driver

About The Position

The Don Wood Automotive Family is hiring a part-time driver to pick up vehicles from customers who have sold them to the dealership and transport vehicles between dealerships, automotive auctions, and other designated locations. The driver represents the company when interacting with customers and dealership staff, providing a professional and friendly experience while completing deliveries and pickups safely and on schedule. The position offers $14.00 per hour, based on experience, and a flexible weekday schedule. Employees may work up to 32 hours per payroll week (Sunday–Saturday) and must be available at least three days per week. Assignments are typically communicated one day in advance, and hours vary with business needs. Some drives may take place on Saturdays and Sundays. The role may require late hours or shifts of up to 12 hours, and travel throughout Ohio and neighboring states when needed.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Valid, insurable driver's license and a clean driving record.
Must be insurable under the company's corporate insurance policy.
Comfortable driving a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and SUVs.
Able to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmissions.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Able to travel throughout Ohio and neighboring states when needed.
Flexible schedule and availability at least three days per week, including possible weekend drives; able to work late hours if needed and possible 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

Pick up vehicles from customers who have sold their vehicle to the dealership.
Represent the Don Wood Automotive Family and provide customers with a friendly, professional experience.
Transport vehicles safely between dealerships, automotive auctions, and designated locations.
Complete vehicle deliveries and pickups accurately and on schedule.
Follow daily assignments and route schedules provided by management.
Perform basic vehicle inspections before and after transport.
Communicate professionally with customers and dealership staff.
Follow traffic laws, safety procedures, company policies, and vehicle operating procedures.
Observe rules of the road and use courtesy and defensive driving techniques.
Operate vehicles with standard and automatic transmissions safely.
