About The Position

The Don Wood Automotive Family is hiring a part-time Customer Vehicle & Dealership Driver to transport vehicles between dealerships, automotive auctions, customers, and other designated locations. Drivers also meet customers at their homes or businesses to pick up vehicles they have sold to the dealerships, serving as professional representatives of the company and contributing to the customer experience.

The position offers a flexible weekday schedule, with availability required at least three days per week. Some assignments may occur on Saturdays or Sundays, and employees may need to work late hours or possible 12-hour shifts. Daily assignments are typically communicated one day in advance, and hours vary with business needs, up to 32 hours per payroll week. Compensation is $14.00 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid, insurable driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Must be insurable under the company's corporate insurance policy.
• Must be comfortable driving a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and SUVs.
• Must be able to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmissions.
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Must be able to travel throughout Ohio and neighboring states when needed.
• Must be available to work at least three days per week, with a flexible schedule that may include late hours or possible 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Pick up vehicles from customers who have sold them to the dealership.
• Provide a friendly and professional experience while representing the Don Wood Automotive Family.
• Transport vehicles safely between dealerships, automotive auctions, and designated locations.
• Complete vehicle deliveries and pickups accurately and on schedule.
• Follow daily assignments and route schedules provided by management.
• Perform basic vehicle inspections before and after transport.
• Communicate professionally with customers and dealership staff.
• Follow traffic laws, safety procedures, company policies, and applicable regulations.
• Operate vehicles safely and demonstrate courtesy and defensive driving techniques.
