About The Position

The Don Wood Automotive Family is seeking dependable, customer-focused part-time drivers to transport vehicles between dealerships, automotive auctions, and other designated locations, and to pick up vehicles from customers who have sold them to the dealerships. Drivers represent the company when meeting customers at their homes or businesses and are expected to provide a friendly, professional experience. The role includes completing pickups and deliveries accurately and on schedule, following management-provided assignments and routes, performing basic vehicle inspections, and communicating professionally with customers and dealership staff. Drivers must be available at least three days per week. Assignments are typically communicated one day in advance, and hours vary according to business needs, up to 32 hours per payroll week (Sunday–Saturday). Some driving takes place on Saturdays and Sundays. The position requires travel throughout Ohio and neighboring states when needed. Compensation is $14.00 per hour, based on experience. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Be insurable under the company's corporate insurance policy and possess an insurable driver's license.
Be comfortable driving cars, trucks, and SUVs.
Be able to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmissions.
Have excellent customer service and communication skills.
Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
Be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Be able to travel throughout Ohio and neighboring states when needed.
Have a flexible schedule and be able to work late hours if needed, including possible 12-hour shifts.
Be available at least three days per week; some driving assignments occur on Saturdays and Sundays.

Responsibilities

Pick up vehicles from customers who have sold their vehicles to the dealership.
Represent the Don Wood Automotive Family professionally and provide a friendly customer experience.
Transport vehicles safely between dealerships, automotive auctions, and designated locations.
Complete vehicle pickups and deliveries accurately and on schedule.
Follow daily assignments and route schedules provided by management.
Perform basic vehicle inspections before and after transport.
Communicate professionally with customers and dealership staff.
Follow traffic laws, safety procedures, company policies, and procedures.
Operate vehicles safely, demonstrate courtesy and defensive driving, and observe rules of the road.
