About The Position

This role places you at the heart of Aston Martin’s hypercar programme, supporting a unique direct-to-customer support model for vehicles across the globe. You will work not only in workshops but alongside customers at Aston Martin locations, customer sites, and third-party facilities. The position is responsible for maintaining, servicing, and diagnosing customer vehicles to the highest standards, preparing them for track use, supporting customer events, and conducting performance testing. It also involves customer handovers with detailed technical briefings to create an exceptional ownership experience. The role requires complex fault diagnosis and rectification, often at customer locations, with feedback to Engineering. Responsibilities include vehicle builds, strip and inspection, tolerance measurement, component fabrication, vehicle set-up, and supporting high-voltage and hydraulic system assembly and operation. Beyond technical delivery, you will lead small teams on customer sites, liaise with various stakeholders, and act as a technical ambassador for the brand, requiring confidence and professionalism when interacting with high-net-worth customers in challenging situations.

Requirements

  • A background in automotive or motorsport engineering is essential.
  • Strong hands-on experience.
  • An advanced driving permit, although equivalent experience will also be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional training such as high-voltage safety, F-Gas or specialist systems knowledge is advantageous but can be developed as part of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining, servicing, and diagnosing customer vehicles to the very highest standards.
  • Preparing vehicles for track use.
  • Supporting customer drive and track events.
  • Carrying out shake-down and post-repair performance testing.
  • Playing a key part in customer handovers, delivering detailed technical briefings.
  • Carrying out complex fault diagnosis and rectification, often at customer locations.
  • Recording issues and feeding potential solutions back to Engineering.
  • Vehicle builds, strip and inspection activities, tolerance measurement, component fabrication and vehicle set-up.
  • Supporting high-voltage and hydraulic system assembly and operation.
  • Leading small teams while on customer sites.
  • Liaising with system and development engineers, third-party suppliers, dealers and customer representatives.
  • Acting as a trusted technical ambassador for the brand.
  • Working directly with high-net-worth customers, sometimes in challenging situations, while maintaining a calm, customer-first approach.
