About The Position

This role involves providing comprehensive support for equipment installation and maintenance at customer sites. The Customer Support Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting various systems, managing the installation process, and training customers on equipment operation and software. The position requires regular travel within assigned territories and the ability to work independently to ensure customer satisfaction throughout their ownership of the machine.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and control systems, as well as networks.
  • Ability to precisely follow layout drawings and blueprints.
  • Ability to communicate in the English language.
  • Excellent customer relations and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage the total equipment installation process at customer site.
  • Operation, applications, software, and part programming capabilities.
  • Customer training capabilities.
  • Use of Amada applications software.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to analyze and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, optical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to use hand tools, Volt/Ohm meter and Oscilloscope.
  • Working knowledge of computers and Windows OS.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Accountability and responsibility to service and support a customer through all aspects of the customer’s ownership of the machine.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and control systems, as well as networks.
  • Follow layout drawings and blueprints for equipment installation.
  • Complete daily status (service) reports and weekly expense reports.
  • Communicate effectively in English with customers.
  • Manage the total equipment installation process at customer sites, including climbing, bending, and stooping.
  • Provide training on equipment operation, applications, software, and parts programming.
  • Utilize Amada applications software for line control and part programming.
  • Travel regularly within assigned territories.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
