About The Position

This role involves providing expert support for automated equipment, focusing on troubleshooting and installation. The engineer will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving issues across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and network systems. Key duties include accurately following installation drawings, completing daily service reports and weekly expense reports, maintaining excellent customer relations, and managing the entire equipment installation process on-site. This requires proficiency with hand tools, operating Amada applications software for line control and part programming, and training customers on equipment operation, applications, software, and part programming. The position involves regular travel within assigned territories and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, control systems, and networks.
  • Ability to precisely follow layout drawings and blueprints.
  • Ability to communicate in the English language.
  • Excellent customer relations and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to use hand tools, Volt/Ohm meter, and Oscilloscope.
  • Working knowledge of computers and Windows OS.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Accountability and responsibility to service and support a customer through all aspects of their ownership of the machine.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • A 4-year degree in Electronics or a minimum of a 2-year degree with related work experience is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate in the Spanish language.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, control systems, and networks.
  • Follow layout drawings and blueprints for equipment installation.
  • Complete status (service) reports daily and expense reports weekly.
  • Manage the total equipment installation process at Customer site.
  • Operate, program, and train customers on equipment software and part programming using Amada applications software.
  • Provide customer training on equipment operation, applications, software, and part programming.
  • Perform routine travel within assigned territories.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
