Requirements

  • Strong customer focus relationship-building skills.
  • High level of attention to detail is required to ensure accuracy of order entry and reports.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to problem solve and “think outside the box.”
  • Good organization skills.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of emails and orders.
  • Strong/proven analytical skills.
  • Practical experience with detail-oriented order entry, and detail-oriented research, face to face customer interactions.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • College or University degree/diploma in Business Administration or Operations/Inventory Control/Logistics/Supply Chain.
  • Prior experience with customer facing corporate supply chain roles.
  • Bilingual French.
  • Familiarity with JDE and Salesforce.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with customers to handle day-to-day inquiries.
  • Navigate a complex supply chain network consisting of 12 plants and 2 distribution centers.
  • Enter and verify orders for accuracy, load weight, pallet count, special considerations, etc.
  • Manage orders including monitoring and updating of shipping dates, communicating updates/changes to internal and external customers, and using comprehensive dashboard for daily actions.
  • Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email and proactively communicate changes.
  • Develop strong customer relationships, which may include some travel across North America for customer/site visits for the purpose of understanding their businesses, addressing any concerns where possible and highlighting potential issues and possible solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth order process and timely delivery of orders.
  • Prepare customer related reports and analyze order profile to identify customer trends.
  • As assigned, author, edit, and approve knowledge base articles or SOPs.
  • Lead process improvements using structured problem solving methodology (Lean Six Sigma).
