About The Position

Noble Machines is seeking a Customer Success & Deployment Leader to build and lead the organization responsible for taking its general-purpose robots from signed contract through dependable operation at customer sites. The role owns customer outcomes from initial pilot through fleet scale-up, renewal, and expansion, and serves as a bridge between customers and Noble Machines’ engineering, autonomy, product, and service teams. The position focuses on deploying reliable robots in demanding construction, mining, and energy environments and ensuring they continue to deliver value after deployment.

Requirements

  • 12+ years in customer success, professional services, field engineering, or deployment leadership, including at least 5 years in robotics, industrial automation, autonomous systems, or complex hardware-plus-software products.
  • Proven experience moving robotic or autonomous hardware from R&D into commercial production at external customer sites.
  • Experience building and leading distributed, field-based teams.
  • Working knowledge of robot autonomy, simulation and sim-to-real validation, and industrial safety standards such as ISO 10218, ISO/TS 15066, and ANSI/A3 R15.06.
  • Strong commercial sense, including renewals, expansion, services pricing, and deployment P&L.
  • Executive presence and credibility with senior customer leaders, from site superintendents to the C-suite.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites, including active construction, mining, and energy job sites.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience deploying robots or autonomous equipment in construction, mining, energy, or other heavy-industry environments.
  • Background in engineering or computer science; an MBA is a plus.
  • Familiarity with jobsite safety programs and regulatory requirements such as OSHA and MSHA.
  • Experience scaling a customer-facing organization at an early-stage hardware company.

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a team of deployment program managers, field and application engineers, and customer success managers, scaling the team and its leadership as the company grows.
  • Own deployments end-to-end, from site assessment and task scoping through validation in Sunnyvale, on-site integration, commissioning, and handoff to steady-state operations.
  • Define deployment readiness standards for safety, reliability, uptime, and performance before robots go to customer sites, including readiness for dust, vibration, temperature extremes, and other unpredictable heavy-industry conditions.
  • Standardize deployment processes, including pilot-to-production gates, simulation and test validation, integration with customer site operations and safety programs, and change management and training for frontline crews.
  • Track and report robot uptime, task throughput, time-to-productivity, intervention rate, hazardous-exposure hours removed from workers, customer satisfaction, and net revenue retention.
  • Share field data, failure modes, and customer requirements with engineering and product teams to inform the roadmap and improve field reliability.
  • Serve as the senior point of contact for customer operations, safety, and site leadership; lead executive business reviews and own escalations.
  • Coordinate with contractors, site operators, integrators, and service partners to keep deployments on schedule and on spec.
