About The Position

Fastenal is hiring a full-time, entry-level Customer Site Warehouse Support employee to facilitate product movement through a customer site. The position is based at the branch at 4101 US 52 S, Lafayette, Indiana. A flexible schedule may be available after onboarding and training and after performance goals are met. The role is part of Fastenal’s warehouse operations and includes product handling, shipment preparation, and maintaining an organized work area while following company health, safety, and sustainability requirements.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old due to the nature of the work.
Have a current, valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located, including completion of any applicable graduated licensing program, and meet driving record requirements for use of a company vehicle as needed.
Be able to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Be willing to work a flexible schedule and extra time as needed.
Demonstrate ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork.
Be able to lift, slide, carry, and lower packages typically weighing 25–50 pounds and sometimes up to 75 pounds.
Pass the required drug screen, applicable in the United States, Puerto Rico, and Guam.

Nice To Haves

Prior warehouse experience.
Prior experience operating a forklift.

Responsibilities

Operate computer programs and wireless handheld devices.
Move and handle products accurately.
Audit and prepare outgoing shipments to customer facilities.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the work area.
Comply with health, safety, and sustainability rules and expectations.
Participate in activities and programs that support company health, safety, and sustainability objectives.
Learn, pass, and practice required environmental health and safety training.
