About The Position

Fastenal is hiring a full-time, entry-level Customer Site Packaging employee to facilitate product movement at a customer site in Lafayette, Indiana. The work involves inspecting and packaging products, using computers and packaging machines, and maintaining an organized work area. The role requires following health, safety, and sustainability expectations and completing relevant training. A flexible schedule may be available after onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals. The position may require extra time as needed. Fastenal is an industrial and construction supplies distributor with more than 3,000 servicing locations. Requirements

Be at least 18 years old due to the nature of the work.
Have proficient written and oral communication skills.
Have proficient computer skills.
Be highly motivated, self-directed, and customer-service oriented.
Be willing to perform repetitive tasks over long periods.
Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
Be able to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Be willing to work a flexible schedule and extra time as needed.
Demonstrate ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork.
Lift, slide, carry, and lower packages typically weighing 25–50 pounds and potentially up to 100 pounds.
Pass the required drug screen where applicable in the United States, Puerto Rico, and Guam.
