About The Position

As a Nordstrom Rack team member, you’ll work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborating with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for customers. You’ll help provide a quick and easy customer experience and keep the store clean and clutter-free. Team members may occasionally work in different areas of the store to maintain cleanliness, support stockrooms, and help customers find merchandise. Roles are available in Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment; applicants can discuss their preferred role during the interview process. Sales and Customer Service work includes maintaining a salesfloor that is ready for customers through re-merchandising and straightening; assisting with in-store, online, and mobile transactions; supporting fitting-room customers; sorting and returning clothing; organizing stockrooms; accurately checking in and ticketing merchandise; using store technologies; following operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards; and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment work includes receiving and delivering merchandise, fulfilling and shipping customer orders to quality standards, using inventory management systems to process and research shipments, maintaining clean and organized salesfloors and stockrooms, and providing general store support such as setting up events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating fixtures. The role requires continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift and frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, reaching, and hand use. Employees handle merchandise, including bulky or awkward items, and lift items weighing up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally. Stock and Fulfillment employees frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The stated pay range is $17.70–$18.40 per hour. Pay offers depend on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Some selling roles receive commission, and this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. Responsibilities

Help create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere and provide customers with a quick, easy, and friendly experience.
Keep the store clean and clutter-free, including salesfloors and stockrooms.
Re-merchandise and straighten the salesfloor throughout the day to keep it ready for customers.
Assist with in-store, online, and mobile transactions using a point-of-sale system; bag items and handle bulky merchandise.
Greet and assist customers in fitting rooms, and sort and return clothing to the salesfloor.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards and promote Nordstrom Rewards.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver it to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner and prepare and ship orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory-control processes.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating fixtures.
