About The Position

The Customer Service Specialist supports Sherwin-Williams retail store success by working with wholesale and retail customers to identify their needs, answer questions about products, and recommend appropriate solutions. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, resolving concerns promptly, maintaining product knowledge and store standards, and meeting sales goals. The position is based at Store #8533, 1865 Haleukana St., Lihue, HI 96766. Duties involve customer contact, which may include minors, and access to cash, payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, merchandise, and other valuable items. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without requiring employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
• Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve materials from shelves and floor stacks and frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 70 pounds.
• Must be willing, with or without reasonable accommodation, to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends.
• Internal Sherwin-Williams applicants must have received at least a “meets expectations” (3) rating on their most recent performance appraisal.
• Internal Sherwin-Williams applicants must have completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses required for their current position.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service.
• Previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products.
• Previous work experience operating tinting and mixing equipment.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
• Build productive, trusting relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
• Process sales transactions accurately and consistently with policies and procedures.
• Follow and achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals.
• Maintain precise work order files and formulas.
• Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse.
• Tint and mix products to customer specifications as needed.
• Stock shelves and set up displays.
• Clean store equipment.
• Load and unload delivery trucks.
• Assist in making deliveries as needed.
• Maintain assigned areas in an in-stock and presentable condition.
• Stay knowledgeable about products and discuss available options.
• Comply with inventory control procedures.
• Suggest ways to improve sales.
