About The Position

Customer Service Specialists support the success of Sherwin-Williams retail stores by working with wholesale and retail customers to understand their needs, answer questions about products, and recommend appropriate solutions. They resolve customer concerns promptly, maintain product knowledge and store presentation standards, deliver excellent service, and consistently work toward store sales goals. The position is full-time at Store #708590 in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. The work includes customer contact, potentially including minors, and access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, merchandise, and other valuable items. The company states that it conducts a criminal-history review to protect its business, operations, reputation, and the safety of customers, staff, employees, vendors, contractors, and the public.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without current or future sponsorship for an employment work visa.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
• Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 70 pounds occasionally.
• Must be willing, with or without reasonable accommodation, to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends.
• For current Sherwin-Williams employees: must have received at least a “meets expectations” (3) rating on the most recent performance appraisal.
• For current Sherwin-Williams employees: must have completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses required for the current position.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience working in delivery, retail, or customer service.
• Previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products.
• Previous work experience operating tinting and mixing equipment.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining their needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
• Build productive, trust-based relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
• Process sales transactions accurately and consistently with company policies and procedures.
• Follow and achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals.
• Maintain precise work order files and formulas.
• Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse.
• Tint and mix products to customer specifications as needed.
• Stock shelves and set up displays.
• Clean store equipment.
• Load and unload delivery trucks.
• Assist with deliveries as needed.
• Maintain assigned areas in an in-stock and presentable condition.
• Remain knowledgeable about products and discuss available options.
• Comply with inventory control procedures.
• Suggest ways to improve sales.
