About The Position

Atlas Roofing Shingles, Underlayments and Ventilation is seeking a Customer Service Specialist for its Meridian, Mississippi roofing facility. The role serves as a liaison between internal and external customers and supports a quality customer experience through account management, order coordination, and timely communication. The position includes 25% travel.

Requirements

Customer account management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment; alternatively, a minimum of four years of customer account management experience is stated as an education/experience option.
Excellent telephone skills.
Proficiency with data-entry software, including ERP software such as PeopleSoft and CRM software such as Salesforce.
Knowledge of customer and personal service principles, including assessing customer needs, meeting service quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
Ability to work well with many types of people and build successful relationships with internal and external customers.

Nice To Haves

A four-year college degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

Act as a liaison between internal and external customers and advocate for a quality customer experience.
Manage existing and new account relationships, promote products, communicate pricing, respond to requests, resolve complaints, and maintain quality service.
Manage customer orders from placement through shipment and billing, handling customer requests promptly.
Monitor backorders and review production, scheduling, and inventory reports daily; communicate backorder situations to customers in a timely manner.
Advise management and outside sales of lead-time changes or production problems that may affect customer service.
Complete Special Approval Requests and Buying Agreements for deviated pricing when necessary.
Verify prices on orders to ensure billing accuracy and minimize billing adjustments.
Proactively follow up on quoted projects to help secure orders.
