About The Position

Sunset Automotive Group is Southwest Florida's largest automotive group, representing 10 franchises across 11 locations in Sarasota and Manatee counties. We are currently seeking a Service Department Customer Service Specialist/Loaner Car Coordinator to join our service team at Sunset Kia of Sarasota. This is a fast-paced, highly visible role that is especially important as our dealership is currently under construction, requiring strong organization, flexibility, and excellent communication skills. In this role, you will be a key point of contact for service customers before, during, and after their visit. You will assist customers in person with loaner vehicle setup while their vehicle is in service, help manage a high volume of customer interactions, and follow up after service completion to ensure satisfaction. Attention to detail, computer proficiency, and strong phone skills are essential to keeping our service operations running smoothly.

Requirements

  • Professional appearance and a friendly, customer-focused attitude
  • Strong computer literacy with the ability to learn dealership systems quickly
  • Excellent phone and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to track multiple loaner vehicles and responsibilities simultaneously
  • Able to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced, high-traffic environment
  • Dependable and capable of working independently while coordinating with multiple departments
  • Willingness to perform light physical labor and stay active throughout the workday
  • Availability Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays
  • Must complete and pass a background check and drug screen before hire

Nice To Haves

  • Previous automotive dealership experience is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Assist in-person service customers with loaner vehicle check-in and check-out
  • Explain loaner policies, complete required paperwork, and answer customer questions clearly and professionally
  • Accurately track loaner vehicle availability, condition, mileage, and return status
  • Maintain detailed records to ensure all loaner vehicles are accounted for at all times
  • Coordinate daily with Service Advisors and the Detail/Car Wash team to ensure loaners are cleaned, fueled, and ready
  • Manage customer flow efficiently during ongoing construction to maintain a positive service experience
  • Follow up with customers after service completion to ensure customer satisfaction, answer questions or address concerns, and encourage and assist with service survey completion
  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to customer inquiries
  • Perform general administrative duties using dealership computer systems
  • Assist with light physical tasks as needed, including moving paperwork, coordinating vehicles, and walking the service drive
