About The Position
Customer Service/Sales associates provide fast, friendly service by seeking out customers, assessing their needs, and providing assistance. They learn about products using company tools and provide information to help customers sell an entire project. Associates learn how to greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in their department, as well as handle basic needs in adjacent departments. Associates maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas and ensure those areas are clean, shop-able, and safe. They are responsible for providing a safe working and shopping environment by following safety policies and standards, completing specified safety training, promptly correcting hazards or unsafe conditions or reporting them to the Manager on Duty, and working safely to avoid endangering themselves, coworkers, vendors, or customers. They work cooperatively with their Department Supervisor and associates in their own and other departments. Departments may include Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, and Tool Rental. Position types may include Department Sales, Lead Generator, Pro Account Sales, Sales Specialist, Special Services, and Customer Order Specialist.
Responsibilities

- Work cooperatively with the Department Supervisor and associates in the same and other departments.
