About The Position

Customer Service/Sales associates provide fast, friendly service by proactively engaging customers, assessing their needs, and offering assistance. They learn about products using company tools and provide information to help customers complete an entire project. Associates learn to greet, qualify, recommend products, and close sales in their department, while also handling basic needs in adjacent departments. They maintain assigned areas in stocked, clean, shop-able, and safe condition and work cooperatively with their Department Supervisor and other associates across departments. Store departments may include Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, and Tool Rental. Position types may include Department Sales, Lead Generator, Pro Account Sales, Sales Specialist, Special Services, and Customer Order Specialist.

• Immediately correct hazards and unsafe conditions or report them to the Manager on Duty.
• Work safely to avoid endangering oneself, coworkers, vendors, or customers.
• Cooperate with the Department Supervisor and associates in the assigned department and other departments.
