About The Position

Muskoka Lumber is a growing, family-oriented regional business undergoing an exciting transition toward a modernized operating model. We are seeking a Customer Service, Sales & Logistics Associate to join our team. This role handles the full sales cycle, develops new business, and ensures smooth customer project execution by coordinating company workflows. This position takes a proactive approach to operational support and sales growth by providing strong customer service and maintaining deep product knowledge.

Requirements

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent; related post-secondary education or experience in building construction is preferred.
  • 3 years of experience working in customer service/sales with logistics experience, preferably in retail lumber or construction.
  • Working knowledge of lumber, building materials, and industry-specific products and applications.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills, with the ability to independently learn new products.
  • Experience with CRM or sales software (e.g., Bistrack, Beanworks) or a willingness to learn.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and work well in a team.
  • Physical ability to perform essential duties, including lifting 50 lbs and occasionally up to 80 lbs to maneuver inventory.

Responsibilities

  • Support store operations by receiving inbound products, stocking shelves, monitoring stock levels, and assisting with inventory counts.
  • Perform administrative tasks and maintain accurate updates in order-tracking systems to support communication across sites.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact - handling inquiries, preparing quotes/orders, and driving sales through upselling and lead follow-up.
  • Coordinate end-to-end project execution with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely, accurate delivery.
  • Maintain strong product and process knowledge to prepare accurate quotes, work orders, pricing, and documentation.
  • Resolve customer issues by investigating concerns, actively listening, and recommending solutions.
  • Follow all health, safety and company policies to maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work environment.
