About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring team members for Sales, Cashier, Stock, and/or Fulfillment departments. Candidates may discuss their preferred role during the interview process. The ideal team member enjoys a fast-paced, high-energy environment and helps make the customer experience quick, easy, and fun while assisting customers in finding great deals. Sales and Cashier team members support fitting room experiences, promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program, keep stockrooms organized, and help maintain a sales floor that is ready for customers. They assist with transactions, use store technologies, and resolve customer concerns in a timely and effective manner. Stock Support and Fulfillment team members receive and process incoming merchandise, fulfill and ship customer orders according to quality standards, and use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research shipments. They also help maintain clean, organized selling floors and stockrooms and provide general store support, including preparing special events, markdowns, backroom organization, and relocating fixtures. The hourly pay range is $18.15–$18.85. Pay offers depend on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds for Stock Support or Fulfillment roles.

Responsibilities

Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting customers, taking them to fitting rooms, and sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Motivate and inspire others to adopt initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Keep stockrooms organized and complete inventory processes, ensuring merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Maintain a runway-ready sales floor through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
Assist customers with a variety of transactions in a seamless and friendly manner.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Defuse customer situations and provide timely, effective resolutions.
Receive, unload, unpack, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner and according to quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, processing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
