About The Position

U-Haul is seeking a friendly, motivated Customer Service Representative to provide customer support and help maintain equipment at a U-Haul center in Hendersonville, Tennessee. The role involves helping customers with U-Haul products and services, using smartphone-based technology to manage rentals and inventory, and dispatching and returning equipment. On-the-job education is provided, including ongoing learning through U-Haul University and offered certifications for propane filling and forklift operation. Requirements

Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship.
Ability to move equipment weighing at least 50 pounds, with or without assistance.
In states where applicable, U-Haul will not hire or re-hire individuals who use nicotine products.

Responsibilities

Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with U-Haul products and services.
Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, including checking fluid levels.
Answer customer questions and explain products and services.
Prepare rental invoices and accept returned rental equipment.
Install hitches and trailer wiring.
Fill propane; certification is offered through U-Haul after employment.
Drive a forklift; certification is offered through U-Haul after employment.
Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
Perform other duties as assigned.
