Customer Service Representative – Utility Billing
About The Position
Five Star Solutions is seeking friendly, dependable Customer Service Representatives to support customers with natural gas utility accounts. The role assists customers with gas bills, payments, account information, and other account-related concerns while providing a positive customer experience. This is a remote position available to candidates residing in AL, GA, ID, IA, IN, KS, LA, MI, MS, NV, NC, ND, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TX, TN, UT, VA, WV, WI, or WY. The position is full-time at 40 hours per week. Working hours fall between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time, Monday through Friday and every other weekend. Paid training is typically one week, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time. Starting pay is $14 per hour, with an additional $1 per hour shift differential for nights and weekends. The role is benefit-eligible on the first day of the month after 60 days. Requirements
- One year of previous customer service, call center, or office experience is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfort working with billing and account information.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to navigate multiple computer systems.
- Professional and empathetic approach to customer concerns.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfort handling potentially difficult customer interactions.
- Comfort cross-training on other accounts.

Responsibilities
- Assist customers with questions about natural gas bills and account balances.
- Process and assist with customer payments.
- Research and resolve account-related issues.
- Explain billing information, charges, and payment options clearly.
- Update and maintain accurate customer account information.
- Handle customer questions and concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Follow established procedures and privacy requirements.
- Document customer interactions accurately.
- Escalate issues when additional assistance or authorization is required.
- Provide excellent customer service on every interaction.
- Cross-train on other accounts.
