Customer Service Representative – Utility Billing
About The Position
Five Star Solutions is hiring friendly, dependable Customer Service Representatives to support customers with natural gas utility accounts. The role assists customers with gas bills, payments, account information, and other account-related concerns while providing a positive customer experience. This is a remote position for residents of AL, GA, ID, IA, IN, KS, LA, MI, MS, NV, NC, ND, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TX, TN, UT, VA, WV, WI, or WY. The position is full-time at 40 hours per week, with working hours between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday and every other weekend. Paid training is typically one week, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST. Starting pay is $14 per hour, with an additional $1 per hour shift differential for nights and weekends. The role is benefit eligible on the first day of the month after 60 days.
Requirements
- Previous customer service, call center, or office experience; one year is indicated, with such experience described as preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfort working with billing and account information.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to navigate multiple computer systems.
- Professional and empathetic approach to customer concerns.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfort handling potentially difficult customer interactions.
- Willingness to cross-train on other accounts.

Responsibilities
- Assist customers with questions regarding natural gas bills and account balances.
- Process and assist with customer payments.

- Follow established procedures and privacy requirements.
