About The Position

Mom’s Meals is hiring upbeat, people-first Customer Service Representatives to help customers place meal orders. The role handles customer calls, answers questions, provides customer service, and enters and documents order and customer information. Representatives also ensure assigned clients have been contacted and have an order on file, and contact case managers when special situations arise. The position is based at 7000 Fleur Drive, Des Moines, Iowa 50321. The starting wage is $17.00 per hour, with weekly pay and benefits available after 30 days of employment. The position starts Monday, November 30th; no year is specified. Employment is contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment drug screen and background check, where permitted by law.

Requirements

• High school degree or GED.
• One year of previous customer service experience.
• Basic computer proficiency, including experience learning and using software in a work or school setting.
• Clear oral communication skills.
• Ability to deescalate situations and quickly resolve customer complaints.
• Prior experience adhering to company policies and demonstrating core values.

Nice To Haves

• One year of previous call center experience.
• Experience with an auto dialer, multi-line phone system, and/or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams.
• Previous experience working with HIPAA policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound customer service calls with clients placing meal orders.
• Answer questions and provide exceptional customer service.
• Enter order information into the appropriate client order screen.
• Document conversations with clients in the client information database.
• Ensure assigned clients are contacted and have an order on file.
• Contact case managers by telephone, email, and/or fax when a special situation arises regarding one of their clients.
• Work quickly and efficiently without making clients feel rushed.
