About The Position

U-Haul is hiring a friendly, motivated Customer Service Representative to provide customer service as part of a supportive team. The role involves helping customers with U-Haul products and services, dispatching and returning equipment using current technology, and inspecting and maintaining equipment. On-the-job education is provided, including ongoing learning through U-Haul University. U-Haul also offers paid hands-on working interviews, a $100 hiring bonus, and a $300 cash bonus upon completion of the U-Haul Equipment Inspection and Verification certification through the 1-2-3 Punch Certification Program at retail stores. The position is located at 6215-6247 E Main St, Mesa, Arizona 85205. It is not eligible for employer sponsorship; applicants must be legally authorized to work without requiring employer sponsorship.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be legally authorized to work and must not require employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with U-Haul products and services.
Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, including checking fluid levels.
Answer questions and educate customers about products and services.
Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental.
Install hitches and trailer wiring.
Fill propane; certification is offered through U-Haul upon employment.
Drive a forklift; certification is offered through U-Haul upon employment.
Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
Perform other duties as assigned.
