About The Position

Arrow Sanitary, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a Customer Service Representative to work in our Call Center in Portland, OR! This role involves interacting with customers to handle service requests, resolve disputes, and promote new services in a fast-paced, high-call volume environment. The position requires proficiency in various software applications and excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.
  • 2 years of Customer Service or Call Center experience.
  • Typing and 10-key skills are required.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Email preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work in conjunction with other departments to resolve customer disputes.
  • Become proficient in the use of proprietary operational systems.
  • Interview customers and record information for service orders (installation, turn on, discontinuance, or change in service).
  • Determine charges for service, collect deposits, prepare change of address records, and issue discontinuance orders.
  • Demonstrate effective use of software applications, including MS Word and Excel.
  • Deliver services to customers in a manner that promotes goodwill.
  • Interact with customers and Waste Connections employees to determine service requirements and resolve problems or complaints via phone and email.
  • Solicit sale of new or additional services.
  • Cover for the reception desk when necessary.
